More Techno Please

With even a little bit of rumble

7/29/20261 min read

This time I have not direct inspiration from any given video. On the other hand I start taking advantage of several available resources for example:

  • Ableton Clips: I reuse existing MIDI drum patterns, but replace sound samples to my own taste and added extra percussion elements here and there.

  • Maschine 3 and Native Instruments expansions: some drum loops to add more layers.

  • Added some rumble, I solo the Kick from the MIDI pattern, bounced to audio, so I could isolated the waveform, then applied delay, reverb, saturation, filtering, utility mono, and add a chain so I could hear both the Dry sounds with the "effected" resulting sound.

  • Some simple progression, keeping the first Key note for most of the Intro... then some lazy lego copy paste, no automation.

  • But followed some advice to add a Limiter to the main (previously called Master) output, and add little bit of gain, to make sure the most noisy part was really close to 0dB.

At the end applying multiple items from the toolbox. As usual trying to have Harmony, Melody, Rythm and some ostinato.

I hope you enjoy.
