Synthestro who?
About Synthestro
I spent years studying music as a kid—lessons, instruments, the whole thing. Did not like it that much. Never practiced. Couldn't wait to quit.
Funny how things change. Now I can't stop trying to make music. Not because anyone's making me, but because I finally get to do it my way. No grades. No expectations. Just me, some hardware, a DAW, and a hard drive full of unfinished ideas that I'm determined not to let disappear.
So, this site is my accountability partner. A public repository. A way to make sure something I create actually makes it out into the world, even if it's messy.
If you're also learning as you go, stick around. Maybe we'll both finally stop hoarding unfinished projects and actually hit "export."
Your Questions, Answered
Q: Are you qualified to teach this stuff?
Nope. I'm not teaching. I'm just documenting. If you want expert instruction, there are plenty of great producers out there. I'm just a beginner showing my work.
Q: Will following along make me better faster?
I have no idea. Maybe seeing someone else's process helps you feel less stuck. Maybe it doesn't. I'm not promising shortcuts—I don't think they exist.
Q: Do you make money from this?
Eventually I might share affiliate links for tools I actually use. If I do, I'll tell you. Right now, this is just me documenting because I wish someone else had done this when I started.
