Trying to put together a high level flow:
Composition Checklist:
[ x] Reference Track / Voice Memo: Chakra
[ x] Creative Brief Purpose: follow LND Does Audio Stuff how to make Techno Track in 10 step
No start or finish a lot of loops
[ ] Tempo & Key & Chord Progs (A/B)
According to LNA Techno 120-150 bmp
Suggest 909 Core Kit (stock from Ableton)
Then layer kick and other kit sounds + Drum Buss
Then using a return track to generate a RUMBLE
[ ] High Level Sections
[ x] Intro - A - A1 - B - B2
[x ] Change Energy +/- elements
[ x] Transitions with pre/post candy/fx, mostly pre
[ x] Expectations & Suspense
[ x] Slicense and Drops on drop only
[ ] Arrangement Checklist
[ x] Melody (Singable)
[ x] Harmony
[x ] Rythm and/or Ostinato
[ x] Pad to glue composition
[ x] Counter Melody
[ x] Automation / Expression
[ x] Chord Progression: Cm Gm D
Main Learnings:
Layering sounds such kicks and snares gives some extra texture to the sounds
Using a Return Track with Delay, Saturator and Equalization for a rumble effect. It is quite tricky to play with parameters to generate a dancy rumble, but when it works is quite pleasing.
Use voices, raisers, metal sounds to add body to the song.
I added my own bass line and a melody
